Hi guys, Pix here!

I just thought I'd do a little introduction for those of you who are interested in knowing more about me & my work.

My name's Pixie. I am a curvacious cosplayer from the UK! At university I studied English Language and Japanese (as a side course) due to my love for Japan and the Japanese culture! I have also nurtured my creative side over the years by drawing, painting & crafting.

However, another true great passion of mine aside from creativity & Japan is gaming. I would probably say that gaming is one of the main (if not the main) part of my life.

It all started when I was about 5 (ish). Me and my dad used to play on our BBC Microcomputer and it was great! This was my first introduction to the video gaming world.

A short number of years after this I was kind enough to be gifted a Super Nintendo Entertainment System from my parents. I played Killer Instinct, Kirby, Zelda and many other gaming titles but I soon grew a special interest in my Mario games (all-stars, world, paint) and this was my first true case of game love (I still play it to this day, often!)

Not long after that I was watching (and helping) my dad play Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alone In The Dark & more on our PS1 albeit I was a massive wuss and could play on my own for about 5 minutes before squealing in terror & hiding behind the couch. I opted to be the 'detective' or note keeper so we could work out and investigate those classic survival horror puzzles.

I also snook in a cheeky bit of Tekken, Spyro, Crash B & a few others on the side and this was also around the time that I received my first ever Gameboy & the game which was to become one of my all-time favourites... Pokemon! Now, it is no secret that I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with everything Generation 1 Pokemon related. I do also quite like the other generations (lesser as they progress) but Generation 1 is where my heart truly lies. That first moment where your metapod finally evolves into Butterfree...  just wow.

Anyway, since this time I've played on many other consoles and games including my Megadrive, Gamecube, Original Xbox, 360 & many many more. However these days my interest truly lies in PC Gaming. The quality and modding potential alone is so incredible I just don't think I could go back to console gaming anymore (unless it's a dabble on my old retro ones!). The current game I am very much hooked on (and take inspiration from for cosplay) is League of Legends.

So aside from my gaming life, what else defines me? Like I said I am in love with everything Japanese. The country, the language, the fashion, the culture.. everything about it just leaves me in awe.

I few years ago I actually visited Japan for 2 weeks (I went travelling alone). It was the most magical experience of my life and I hope to one day return and perhaps even live there. If you're interested in reading about my adventures you can do so on my tumblr.

Ok so gaming - tick, Japan - tick. They are pretty much the main things I'm all about but there are a few others. I'll list them below so you can know all my favourite things :)

Tea - I'm obsessed. Black, white, green, oolong.. ANY tea, I just love the stuff and can't get enough!

Cosplay - Obviously this is also a huge part of my life which appeals to my creative side. There's no better feeling than seeing a fully finished cosplay after months of hard work :)

Fashion - I have a pretty eclectic fashion sense. I studied it in a college course briefly when I was 19. These days I still love it (I have far too many clothes) but my style varies from day to do. Sometimes I go all out Japanese fashion, sometimes vintage, sometimes comfy nerdy t-shirts & jeans. Whatever I feel like that day, I do!

Anime - Grew up with Pokemon, BBZ, Tenchi & Studio Ghibli. These days I watch as much anime as I can in my spare time. My favourite anime is Chobits c:

Star Wars - The original trilogy specifically. Again, something I grew up with and it continues to be a great passion of mine and is still my favourite movie(s) of all time.

Ok so I guess that's the main things. I won't bore you with too much more. I guess you could say that the above is what sums me up. However, if you're interested to know more then please feel free to contact me! :)

So, that's it from me for now. Thanks for reading guys.

Love, Pix."
